Fall is also one of my favorite times for senior pictures in Michigan. The cooler temperatures, changing leaves, golden light, and beautiful outdoor locations create an incredible backdrop for fall senior portraits—especially for high school athletes.
For seniors, it’s even more meaningful—this is their final season. The last time they’ll wear their uniform, compete with their team, and step onto the track or field as a high school athlete. That’s what makes athlete senior photos and senior portraits so powerful—they capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment before everything changes.

This fall senior photo session took place at Hudson Mills Metropark, located just outside of Brighton, toward Dexter and Ann Arbor—a favorite location for senior photography in Southeast Michigan. Hudson Mills is especially beautiful in the fall, when Michigan's changing leaves add color and texture to senior portraits. With wide open fields, natural trails, wooded areas, and soft evening light, it offers the perfect mix of nature, movement-friendly space, and scenery for both athletic and traditional senior photos.
